Pair of Japanese Imari Vases with Crimped Rims
$6.400,00
An impressive pair of antique Japanese Imari vases, dating from the start of the 20th century. Handpainted with birds, blossoms and foliage in shades of iron red, navy, and delicate pinks and blues, the design is highlighted with applied gilt and coloured lacquer. The shape of the each vase is particularly elegant, with its prettily crimped, wide flared neck and curved belly. With their statuesque height, these would make fantastic floor vases. Please note, there are some minor imperfections to the glaze.
