A luxurious antique Persian rug, in a medallion design woven in vivid tones of red and cream. A central diamond-shaped field contains geometric and stylised designs, while the spandrels, in more subdued hues, are accented with octagonal cream badges. An ivory border, heavily embellished with vibrant flowers and stems completes the design. The rug, although in generally good condition, does show some signs of wear and repair in places.
