A large, hand-knotted 20th century Persian rug, tightly woven in pure wool in a geometric design, in colours of red, ochre, navy blue and rust. A central medallion adorned with birds and flowers overlays stripes of shades of gold, with borders of nomadic motifs. The wool is soft to the touch, and is in good original condition.
