A Louis XV-style French Chiffonier in marquetry inlaid rosewood veneer, and featuring five useful and elegantly curved front drawers. This tall and practical chest of drawers is topped with a solid tray of rose-marble, and is raised on cabriole legs. Historically, it would have been used to store a week’s supply of clothing, lingerie or undergarments. Its gently bow-fronted design, with bronze ormolu mounts and decorative apron, would make it the ideal piece to grace a bedroom. In keeping with its age, there are a few small signs of damage to the veneer.
