A very charming oval-shaped Napoleon III period gilt wood center table with marble top. This ornate table stands on four shapely cabriole legs linked by an X-shaped spacer and ending in scrolled feet. The golden hue of the wood is aged to a wonderful patina, which highlights the beautiful carvings to the apron and top of the legs. The marble top is nicely veined with grey, bevelled at its edge, and standing slightly proud of its surround. A very useful little table in any home.
