A nice portrait in a gilded wooden frame, from the 19th century. Bought in a castle in the south of France.

Quite often nowadays, the lords and ladies have to sell some of their furniture to finance the castle’s restorations. In that case, this portrait was hanged on the entrance of a major staircase of a castle in the area of Montpellier.
