Antique French Limoges Bouillon Bowl by Raynaud & Cie, Swan Mark, c. 1895

$2.445,00

This rare and elegant French covered bouillon bowl was crafted by Raynaud & Cie, one of the most esteemed porcelain manufacturers in Limoges. Marked with both the “R & Cᵒ Limoges France” stamp and the distinctive swan hallmark, this refined piece dates from the late 19th century, circa 1895–1900.

The set includes the lidded bowl, its matching underplate, and features a beautifully sculpted pedestal base. The domed lid is topped with a fluted finial, while the dual handles are delicately molded with neoclassical scrollwork. The entire ensemble is adorned with a garland of hand-painted floral motifs, finely framed with gilded detailing on a warm ivory background.

Originally designed to serve individual portions of consommé or light broth at formal meals, this bouillon bowl reflects the opulence and refined lifestyle of the Belle Époque. Its sculptural quality also makes it a stunning decorative object today—perfect as a display piece or to elevate any curated table setting.

The piece is in very good antique condition, with only light wear to the gilding consistent with age. Rare and collectible, especially with the Raynaud swan mark, this is a standout addition to any fine porcelain collection.
