A set of twelve antique sterling silver ‘entremet’ knives their presentation case
$1.500,00
A set of twelve antique sterling silver ‘entremet’ knives, the blades hallmarked with the 950/100 Minerva head stamp and offered in their original blue silk-lined presentation case. The handles are silver mounted, and feature an intricate ‘guilloche’ decoration on the shaft, with an oval lozenge at the base. ‘Entremet’ comes from the French for ‘between courses’, and these knives would be perfect for starters, or other dishes that come before the main course, as well as for desserts. The box shows some small signs of wear in keeping with the set’s age and usage.
