19th Century Napoleon III Pair of White Opaline Vases
$1.300,00
A very attractive pair of matching white ‘soapy’ opaline antique French vases, dating from the Napoleon III period (mid-19th century) and each beautifully modelled with a pronounced ‘trumpet’ shaped neck. The body of each vase is decorated with a classic pineapple-inspired decorative motif, originally made popular by renowned crystal manufacturer Baccarat, and features a textured base of tiny semi-spherical ‘bubbles’ partially obscured by down-folded leaves. The vases are in excellent vintage condition, and would be ideally placed in a setting where they would catch the sunlight, so that the translucent glass can amplify the light and glow in the most delightful manner.
