Large French Art Deco Faience Vases by Gustave Asch, circa 1920
$7.655,00
This exceptional pair of large French Art Deco vases is attributed to Gustave Asch for the renowned Sainte Radegonde faience workshop, circa 1920. Each vase is finished in a rich, high-gloss cobalt blue glaze and decorated with delicate gilded motifs of maple leaves and seed pods, flowing elegantly around the body of the vases.
Made in fine faience, these pieces embody the refined aesthetic of early 20th-century French decorative arts. The contrast between the deep blue background and the intricate gold decoration captures the natural elegance of the Art Deco period. The elongated silhouette and subtle curves give them a timeless presence, perfect as statement pieces in both classic and contemporary interiors.
The base is signed “France” and retains the original “Objets d’Art Maure” label. Gustave Asch was a prominent figure in French ceramic design, and his collaboration with Sainte Radegonde is highly regarded by collectors.
Both vases are in excellent condition with only very minor wear – notably, a slight softening of the gilded rim at the top, consistent with age and gentle use.
An elegant and rare addition to any fine collection of French faience or Art Deco decorative objects.
