An early 19th century “travailleuse” or work table
$2.900,00
A delightful little early 19th-century travailleuse (work, or side table) in mahogany and flamed mahogany veneer. The hinged, mirror-lined top opens to reveal a niched storage tray, complete with armrest and candle holder. There is an additional storage area in the form of a drawer below. Four elegantly curved legs support the table, joined by an ‘entretoise’ or spacer between. There are some small flaws and repairs to the veneer.
Circa 1820.
Provence Area.
