A fine French oval wall mirror with an ornately carved giltwood frame. This Napoleon III style mirror is in excellent condition, and features a richly patinated gilt frame embellished with several bands of ornate high relief mouldings including ‘twisted rope’ at its outer edge, and a ‘string of pearls’ encircling the mirror plate. Versatile in design, it could be hung vertically or horizontally as required, and would add a real touch of elegance to any room.
