A very fine pair of antique silver-plated candle holders in the Louis XVI style, dating from the 19th century, each topped with a cut crystal drip tray and featuring a glittering fringe of crystal tassel drops. The candlesticks are expertly cast, and feature a traditionally shaped knopped stem with plenty of finely chiselled detailing, each one mounted on a wide and heavy circular base. The pieces are stamped with the hallmark of French silversmiths Morlot.
