A wonderfully simple 18th-century Louis XVI period mahogany commode, opening with two drawers, under a grey marble top. Over time, the wood has acquired a nicely-faded warm patination, which is complemented perfectly by the gilt brass handles and diamond-shaped escutcheons. Shows some light wear, consistent with its age and use.
