A spectacular gilt-bronze mounted pedestal, hand-carved from deep-red veined marble, and ideal for the display of a large and valued indoor plant or piece of sculpture. This decorative column features a square tray resting on a smaller, grey marble base, rising from an ornate gilt- bronze capital. The shaft of the column terminates in a matching gilt-bronze collar, which sits atop a substantial stepped square marble plinth, giving it excellent stability. Please note that, in keeping with its age and usage, there are some small imperfections to the bronze at the base, as well as a repair to the shaft and some chipping to the upper tray edges.
