A fabulous late 19th century Louis Philippe giltwood mirror surmounted by an impressively oversized cartouche of cherubic putti and dolphins flanking an oval heraldic shield. Rounded at the top corners, as is typical of this style, the frame’s inner edge is adorned with a frieze of tiny ‘pearls’ to enclose the mirror plate. Each side of the frame is etched with a flora design, while small lower corner swags balance the design.
