“Prancing Horse in Bronze” by the French sculptor Hippolyte François Moreau (1832-1927). Son of the sculptor Jean-Baptiste Moreau, he created many famous sculptures during his lifetime, most of which are on display at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Dijon. This impressive rendition of a rearing horse is nicely patinated, and is signed on the base by the sculptor.
