An exquisite two-seater sofa (we have four matching armchairs). Elegantly carved and upholstered, this fine sofa exhibits richly carved motifs throughout, as well as attractively worn tapestry upholstery ornamented with floral garlands and foliage. This floral theme is echoed in the moulding on the frame of its back – an intricate design of dots, flowers and foliage – with this motif being continued on the stiles raising the médaillon backrest, the base of the arm supports, the capitals of each leg and the centre of the apron. The settee is raised over beautiful, ribbed and twisted legs, each one terminating in a dainty arrow foot.
