19th Century Giltwood and Green Marble Gueridon Table
$4.100,00
This fabulous Louis XVI-style giltwood and marble gueridon table, or plant stand, dates from the 19th century and features an impressive moulded-edged top tray of dark green Pyrenean marble. This sits above a profusely carved and highly decorative apron, with a pierced frieze all round and floral patraes above each leg. The circular table stands on four turned and fluted tapering legs, which are joined by a shaped and carved stretcher with a decorative vase feature sitting at its centre. In good antique condition, with some minor historic knocks, imperfections and wear to the gilding, as would be expected with furniture of this age, and with its history of domestic usage, but still a beautiful piece.
