An elegant and very practical French antique salon table in rosewood veneer, dating from around the 1930s, and featuring a simple but effective marquetry decoration. The polished, circular top is quarter-veneered with a wide border, while the apron is nicely shaped and embellished on all sides with V-shaped varnished rosewood inlays. The table stands on four cabriole tapering legs ending in delicate feet with cast ormulu mounts, and is the perfect size and shape for use as a coffee or display table in the center of a room, or as a bedside table.
