A fine Napoleon III period Cushion Mirror

A fine example of a Napoleon III ‘Cushion Mirror’, its centre glass framed with smaller, angled mirrors all around. The mirror is in very good condition – its plates are all original with shaped bevelling, and an elaborate crest of roses and foliage tops the gilt frame. Cushion mirrors are designed to capture and distribute light beautifully, and this rather exquisite example would be perfect for brightening up a darker wall.

Circa 1880
