An excellent pair of antique silver-plated vegetable tureens, circular in shape and with wonderful, ornamental side handles, which cling to the body of the dish in the form of extravagant acanthus fronds. The close-fitting lids are finely chiselled on the rims, while surrounding the pine cone- shaped knob is a radiant pattern of foliage enclosed within a reeded circle.
