19th Century Paris Porcelain Toiletry Bottle with Stopper
$940,00
This pretty little ‘flacon’ bottle, complete with its original stopper, is made from delicate white ‘Porcelaine de Paris’ and dates from the early 19th century. Both bottle and stopper have been intricately hand-painted and embelllished with gilt highlights. The lower part of the bottle features a latticework of gilt, infilled with cherry coloured stars, above which an array of tiny pink rosebuds completes the design. The stopper has a wreath of laurel leaves around its edge, infilled with rosebuds. The base is stamped with a maker’s mark consisting of a stylised ‘A’. This exquisite little bottle would make the perfect addition to a stylish dressing table.
