1st Empire Period Console Table with Marble Top
$6.000,00
An imposing 1st Empire period console table of impressive proportions, featuring a veneered wood body and a grey-veined marble top. The marble tray is set over one long frieze drawer, complete with ornate circular brass ‘rosebud’ drawer pulls, while the legs are classically simple, of circular form with brass garlands at their capitals, and resting on raised shaped feet. A cutaway shelf joins the four legs at a low height. This very stylish table is beautifully aged, with a wonderfully authentic patina, and dates from the beginning of the 19th century
