An elegant 19th century Napoleon III-era mahogany and mahogany inlaid gaming table, featuring an intricate moulded flourish on its front apron and beautifully carved roses at each shoulder. The top of the table is hinged, and opens to reveal a shaped, green baize card-playing surface with a gilded edge, the rear legs sliding backwards to form a stable base. Under the lid is a useful compartment for the storage of cards, chips and other gaming paraphernalia. Gently curving cabriole legs complete the design.
