A superb 19th century Provençal terracotta water cruche, with spout and handle, and complete with its lid, which is most unusual. Glazed in traditional green, and showing lots of characterful wear in keeping with its age and usage, this beautiful vessel would have been used to transport water to workers in the farm fields, keeping it cool and clean ready for drinking.
